How long has ppm been working with motion picture?
The founding partners of PPM began their motion picture rental experience over 25 years ago, at the time working for Studio Services, Inc. They learned the craft there, working for a widely loved and respected man named Howard Buck, who taught them to care for the customer, the partner, and their fellow employees like their own family. Tragically, in 2017, Howard passed on, and Studio Services was sold. Shortly there after, Eric, Randy, and Bridgette had the opportunity to continue their work in the rental business with the founding of PPM Studio Rentals. Since 2018 Eric and the crew have been carrying on Howards legacy, and as a result, hundreds of motion picture transportation professionals continue to count on them for all their rental needs.
Why does a company that specializes in MOtion picture rentals also serve logistics companies?
They say that necessity is the mother of discovery, and that idea definitely holds true here. Covid 19 and motion picture strikes have caused some of our existing customers to branch out, and because we always want to understand our customers needs, we regularly check in with them to make sure we are serving them well. At one point, we learned that a few of our customers had started driving routes for Amazon, and so we called to ask them if we were doing all we could for them. Imagine our surprise when they told us that we were indispensable to their new ventures. One customer even told us that he could not do his new work without us! That caused us to start offering our unique rental advantage - (Set pricing, low or no mileage fees, nationwide roadside, customer advocacy, easy access to large rental fleets) - to a select few logistics partners who were primarily driving for Amazon. To be clear, we are very selective of who we will take on as customers. We only take on as many as we believe we can effectively serve, and only at a pace that is good for our growing set of partners, but none the less, if we can help…we want to try!
how do i learn more about ppm?
That’s an easy one! On both our “services” page, and our “contact” page you can find buttons that will allow you to reach out. As soon as we hear from you, one of our specialists will schedule a call at your convenience. We only bring on new customers if we are certain that we can help, and so you will never find a high pressure pitch here.
How do i create a rental account?
Once we have learned if our services are a good fit for you, we will send you a link with a request for a few basic pieces of information. After that is filled out, we will send you a few documents for your records, and you will send us your certificate of insurance. That’s pretty much it…. We can usually have an account set up with in a few hours.
